Dr. Jonathan Adams

Jonathan Adams PhD BEng CEng MA Cert.Ed. MIET FHEA received his Masters degree in Adult and Continuing Education from Warwick University. His first degree is a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Bradford. He worked in the lift and escalator industry for over 10 years prior to working in further and higher education for over 33 years in various teaching and senior management roles leading large and diverse teams of academic staff. He received a PhD in Engineering Education from The University of Northampton for his thesis on developing problem solving and creative thinking skills in undergraduate engineering students using novel methods.
Specialties: Dr Adams’s interests and expertise are in the area engineering education. He has a particular interest in 14-19 engineering education – an area in which he has supported for over 20 years working for major examination boards in senior roles. He has published numerous research papers on engineering education, presenting at conferences in Europe, the USA and China. He has also developed numerous resources and a textbook for the 14-16 engineering sector.
Prof. Stefan Kaczmarczyk

Stefan Kaczmarczyk MSc PhD CEng FIMechE FHEA received his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Silesian University of Science and Technology in Gliwice, Poland. He taught and conducted research in Applied Dynamics in the Institute of Theoretical Mechanics at this University and was a Senior Lecturer in Engineering Dynamics at the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa. He received a PhD in Engineering from Natal University for his thesis on the dynamics of deep mine hoisting systems. Prof. Kaczmarczyk is Emeritus Professor of Applied Mechanics at the University of Northampton.
Specialties: Prof. Kaczmarczyk’s interests and expertise are in the area of dynamics and vibration with particular applications to vertical transportation and material handling systems. He has been involved in collaborative research with a number of national and international partners and has an extensive national and international track record in consulting and research in vibration engineering, machine condition and fault diagnosis, vertical transportation and elevator engineering.
Mr Steve McCulloch

Steve McCulloch received his BSc in Construction Management from Wolverhampton University. He worked in the construction industry for over 10 years carrying out numerous commissions and design work for several prestigious companies across the UK. He has been working in the education sector for over 25 years carrying out various teaching and senior roles in secondary schools, including managing a large engineering department, faculty head for STEM and SLT.
Specialities: Mr McCulloch`s interests and expertise are in engineering, architectural and interior design. He has also worked for numerous examination boards across the 14-19 curriculum comprising of moderating, appeal work, examiner roles and produced literature to accompany several courses of study.
Dr Mohammad Ghaleeh

Mohammad Ghaleeh holds a PhD in the Durability of Solder Joints Under Thermo-Mechanical Loading. He has over 15 years of experience as a general design engineer, engineering materials specialist, and structural analyst in the Oil & Gas and Automotive industries. Additionally, he has more than 8 years of experience as a senior academic at the University of Northampton, where his research focuses on Materials and Structural Integrity, Design, Robotics, Optimization, and Biomedical Engineering.
Specialities: Mo is an expert in Design and Finite Element Analysis, which he has applied to solve complex problems in structural mechanics and materials engineering. This analysis tool is pivotal in evaluating the structural integrity of alternative designs. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has experience in both external validation and examining of undergraduate courses in other higher education institutions in the UK. He is also a moderator and subject expert for a large examination board.
